Hockey: Hawks ladies ready to represent Gibraltar in the European Club Challenge in Athens
Gibraltar's, ladies, Hawks HC, will be heading for Athens toplay int he Club Champions Challenge competition. This competition was previously hosted by Gibraltar back in 2001 and in 1998. Back 1998 the Hawks team was under the name of Grammarians Hockey Club. They did extremely well to win two of their games. In 2001 the Eagles ladies team also managed a win and two draws. Eagles ladies represented Gibraltar in the 2005 competition and managed avery commendable draw against Lille, a very strong side from France.

Gibraltar's mens national team will be playing in the European Nations Trophy competition in 2007. This is a great opportunity for Gibraltar to represent itself as a nation. The standard achieved by our national side is exemplary, especially considering Gibraltar only has three teams in the top league. A wonderful achievement. We wish them the best in their preparation for such an important competition.
They will be playing against the following nations:
