Hockey: Collegians ladies in Andalucian cup

This weekend see Collegians Women travel to Alcala La Real (Jaen) for the first of three weekend tournaments against C.D. Universidad de Sevilla and C.H. Alcalá.

The tournament has been named Copa Andalucia and has been organised by the Andalucia Hockey Federation.

Collegians Women were invited to play and in future weekends they will travel to Sevilla to play against both teams and will host a weekend in Gibraltar. This gives all three teams the opportunity to play both home and away.

In other hockey news GHA team officials and umpires were briefed on new changes to the laws of the game - in compliance with International laws - and to discuss the new disciplinary table. This table is designed to keep offences and rewards even across the board, thus making decisions as fair as possible.

Next weekend the first Cup of the season will be held. It will allow all the competing teams to have some good competitive action prior to the season. The mens season does not start until the christmas period.
