Football: Results of Gibraltar's junior leagues ending 27th January
Our featured team of the week is Mark Camilleri's Under 9s. SportGibraltar.com would like to thank Mark for the great image,The boys and some girls play every Sunday on the main pitch of the Victoria Stadium, the large pitch is divided into smaller pitches on which the teams do battle.
The emphasis of the sport is certainly not only in winning as for some teams even a draw is felt as a major victory, which is a beautiful aspect of these youngsters attitude towards the game.
The love and true meaning for the game of football is certainly amongst these young Gibraltarians. It is a shame that UEFA's Congress could not experience it for themselves. They might have apprciated what football means to these players and how important it is to have them included in all aspects of their development opportunities.
