London - Durban marathon Kayaker runs into trouble in Morocco & requires Gibraltar's help
London - Durban marathon Kayaker runs into trouble in Morocco & requires Gibraltar's help!
I am in trouble now. The Moroccan authorities are giving me 48 hours to get out of Morocco. My visa has run out due to a simple mistake. What has happened is that when I got my visa I asked for it to start on 21 October. Well my visa is in Arabic and apparently it says that it expired on 21 october and not commence. Not knowing this I came to Morocco and into Marina Smir to get it stamped. They told me this and now I am in big trouble here, the trip for HIV/Aids might now be over as they want me to go back to Spain or they will deport me ,well my Spanish visa has also run out and I can't go back to Spain either. So the only place I can go to is Gibraltar. I think South Africans are welcome there and we can get a visa on arrival. Do you know anything about that? I met a man from Gibraltar and he is willing to take me there to get iy sorted but I need to get premission first. We urge any of our readers that might be able to help Werner, to contact him or SportGibraltar@yahoo.com in order to try and help him resolve his situation. We now have an great opportunity to show the world what a truly charitable and hospitable people we really are.So this is why I am contacting you, I need help big time. Is there any anyone that can try and help me please. If I at least get the press involved the situation might be a bit easier and they might accept me there. What I want to do is get there so I can go to England and apply for a new Spanish visa, then what I can do is go the other way to Egypt, via Italy and Israel. Please I really need some help and if anyone can help me with any info or have any contacts this would be amazing. This is my number in Marina Smir in Morocco (00212) 39977254, or email me at kayak4aids@yahoo.co.uk
Any help on visa requirements or providing Werner with a safe mooring for his kayak or even helping him out financially. Please try and help in whatever way you can.
