Football: Liverpool legend John Barnes to visit Gibraltar
Former Liverpool and England football star John Barnes is to visit Gibraltar. The visit, lasting three days from Sunday to Tuesday next week, has been organized and sponsored by the Services Sound and Vision Corporation (SSVC). SSVC is a charity that is set up to entertain and inform Britain’s armed forces around the world.John is visiting primarily to participate in training sessions for the Combined Services Youth Football club, but is also running a training session for children at Bayside School on Monday. Also included in the itinerary is a tour of the Upper Rock and a trip around the Rock with Gibraltar Squadron.
