Football: Countdown continues to Gibraltar's participation in the Wild Cup


Wild Cup Update!!!

The wild card team has finally been chosen. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be the final team to be playing in the group stage. This means that Northern Cyprus will be playing in what could be considered as the group of death, Group B, against the might of Greenland and Zanzibar. The winner of Group B could be considered as the strong favourite to take the trophy home.

Meanwhile, the Gibraltar team, are in Group A and will play against "Repubilik"St Pauli (a local team) and Tibet. The GFA side is supposed to be in great shape for the tournament, according to Gibraltar's manager Albert Buhagiar. Some of the players looking particularly sharp in training have been: Gibraltar's, 26 year old, central midfielder, Juan Luis Duarte; Kevin De Los Santos, and Keiron Macedo. The Gibraltar team's press conference will be held on the 28th of May at 12:00pm, where Gibraltar's team manager, Mattew Reoch will be in attendance.
